An awareness drive and also a check-up drive conducted by our experts targeting the low-income areas like urban slums.

Medical camp

Medical camp has been conducted on 18th September for pregnant women and Children below 5 years.

Doctors in the medical camp:
  • Dr. Kasturi Sarvottam, Sr. Gynaecologist and Sr. Obstetrician
  • Dr. Anupama, Sr. Pediatrician

 

Number of patients benefitted : 20

In medical camp at Uttarayya huts, Dr. Kasturi Sarvottam has identified that a wrong estimated delivery date has been mentioned to the patient by the patient’s hospital doctor.

Dr. Kasturi has offered free Scan treatment for the patient and made sure that the pregnant lady has delivered at the right date. Mom and baby are both fine and safe

Psychology Camp

Psychologists from Roshni team has visited Two times in this month for Psychology session

Number of members benefitted – 21

They have discussed on the below topics:

1. Diverting mind from tension and concentrating on simple art. Doing things from news paper.
2. how to handle alcohol abuser in the family,causes for alcohol addiction and on parenting.

 

Identified one girl, who is suffering from depression due to lack of attention by her parents and lack of timely food. So, our volunteers started to keep a track on her meals and we are providing Milk and eggs and little grocery to her every week since then so that she recovers from physical and emotional stress.

 

Nutrition Camp

Uttarayya huts is visited by Bsc Food science and Nutrition students from Koti women’s college guided by Head Jayasurya Kumari.

10 Nutrition students have visited our 40 Uttarayya huts.

Number of members benefitted : 160

Nutrition students have explained to the residents about the Nutritional diet, hygiene environment and its benefits in detail and taken BMI index of all the residents to track their health.

 

Art Camp

7 Art sessions have been conducted for adolescent girls

Number of members benefitted – 15

Girls are taught in making jewellery and cards, identified some girls to teach them the professional art so that they can make a living through art.

 

Yuva Vani

An awareness drive conducted by our volunteers across India targeting the Youth of this country by conducting several activities/games/contests in colleges and schools.
